Stephanie Hancox Senior Ballet Teacher

Born in Sydney, Stephanie took her first ballet lesson at The Dance Class with Julie Wells.  Over the years she studied with Kim Traynor, Rita Dubovsky and Shane Carroll.  She won the Sydney Eisteddfod Scholarship in 2000 and completed her RAD Solo Seal the same the year.  She competed in the Prix de Lausanne the following year and was awarded a full scholarship to train at the Munich Hochschule for Theatre and Arts.

Having worked extensively with the Bayerisches Staatsballet whilst completing her Diploma, she signed a Corps de Ballet contract with the full Company, at the time, the youngest person ever to do so.  She was promoted to soloist in 2008 and performed many principal roles during her time with the Company.  Upon completing her teaching Diploma, she has taught professional dancers and students in Munich, Sydney and Monte Carlo.

Stephanie returned to Sydney in 2018 and began work at The Conlan College at the start of 2019.  She brings her extensive knowledge of teaching and performing to our students in both the full time and part time programs.  She has a daughter, Ashley, and is proud to be a part of our Conlan family.
