Shayarne Matheson Senior Classical and Contemporary Teacher

Shayarne Matheson trained in Sydney in her youth and completed all of her RAD examinations including her Solo Seal.  Shayarne was a finalist of the Genee in Singapore and the Sydney Eisteddfod McDonald’s Classical Ballet Scholarship.  Shayarne was awarded the Supreme title at the Alana Haines Awards in New Zealand and received a full scholarship to further her training at the Royal Ballet School in London.

After graduating from the Royal Ballet School, Shayarne worked with The Queensland Ballet and then furthered her training in contemporary dance with Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-professional Program.

Shayarne’s passion for choreography has had her award winning pieces performed all over Australia, New Zealand, America, Europe and Asia. 

Shayarne is excited to be joining the faculty of The Conlan College and sharing her passion for dance in all its forms.
