
Phoebe Anderssen Alumni
Phoebe started ballet classes at the age of 3 and entered the full time program of The Conlan College at 13 years of age. She auditioned for the Interstate Program of The Australian Ballet School at the age of 8 and was immediately accepted. During her time in that program, she was cast in professional roles with The Australian Ballet company in their productions of Rudolf Nureyev’s “Don Quixote”, Peter Wright’s “The Nutcracker” and Graeme Murphy’s “Swan Lake”.
Phoebe was selected to attend the New York Finals of Youth America Grand Prix in 2017, 2018 and 2019. As a result of her participation she was awarded scholarships to Houston Ballet Academy, The Royal Ballet School, Princess Grace Academy and the Dutch National Trainee Program.
In 2018 Phoebe won the Junior Female Award of the Brisbane International Contemporary Prix and, as a result, was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Palucca Hochschule fur Tanz in Dresden. Phoebe moved to Dresden in August of 2019 and is currently in her final year of her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance.
Phoebe has been selected to join Semperoper Ballett Dresden for the 2023/24 season in her first full time professional role.
