About

The Conlan College is the pre-eminent training facility on the North Shore of Sydney, specialising in classical and contemporary dance styles.

The Conlan College aspires to teach dance to the highest standard of technique and artistry, within an atmosphere of safety and nurturing, allowing each student to reach their full potential.

Our vision is to inspire young people with a passion for dance in all its forms.

Directors’ Welcome

The Conlan College is the classical and contemporary dance school of choice for families across the North Shore of Sydney and surrounding suburbs. Our school offers the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which provides a strong classical foundation in a nurturing environment that fosters a love and excitement about dance at all levels.

At The Conlan College, we pride ourselves on small class sizes with professional teachers, enabling students to thrive with higher levels of individual and small group instruction. At The Conlan College, our teachers have the opportunity to know and understand the talents of each student and to work on areas for improvement.

Students are welcomed in both our night school classes and in our full time training program. Typically our students begin their training with us in our after school program, and if they demonstrate a love for dance and the required technical standard, they will be offered a place in our full time training program. We also welcome students who have trained at other dance schools, to audition with us in Terms 3 or 4 for entry to the full time program in the following year.

If students wish to pursue dance for the pure joy of it, regardless of ability, they are encouraged to continue training with us in our night school program, which can take them to the completion of the RAD syllabus at Grade 8 or at Advanced 2.

It is a privilege to lead a school that encourages students to achieve their personal best, in whatever form that may take.

We look forward to welcoming you at The Conlan College.
